Available from today (1st June 2023) as an add-on to the existing Sparta for Distillate platform vertical, Sparta for Jet offers jet traders the same unparalleled access to vital global trading insights shared by their gasoline and diesel colleagues.

With a vision to simplify and enhance the trading process, Sparta’s innovative platform offers traders real-time global arbitrage opportunities and live price discovery, empowering traders with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing market.

Founded in 2020, Sparta made a significant impact in the commodity analytics industry when it secured an impressive $6 million Series A investment from Singular, a prominent European venture firm, in March 2022. Notably, Sparta boasts an impressive clientele that includes industry giants Equinor, Philips 66, Chevron, and BB Energy.

The brainchild of former traders Miles Moseley and Felipe Elink Schuurman, the Sparta platform addresses a common challenge faced by traders worldwide. Traditionally, pricing data crucial for trading decisions has been fragmented and shared manually through voice, email, or chat channels. This fragmented approach results in time-consuming manual data processing using Excel spreadsheets and a lack of centralised databases for price analysis.

The Sparta platform effectively breaks down these data silos by integrating physical and paper markets, granting traders seamless access to global raw prices encompassing futures, swaps, forward freight, and physical premiums.

Initially catering exclusively to gasoline traders, the platform expanded to distillate traders at the turn of 2023.
