UAE’S ADNOC to supply US LPG to India following China-US tariffs, sources say

“Unlike China, India’s consumption of LPG is mainly for domestic use and requires a higher percentage of butane in the blend,” said June Goh, a Senior Oil analyst at Sparta.

Reuters, April 29, 2025 – ADNOC will supply US LPG to India starting June, replacing some Middle Eastern cargoes, as US-China tariffs reshape trade flows. June Goh from Sparta Commodities noted that India’s domestic LPG demand, favoring butane-heavy blends, benefits from diverted US cargoes but cannot fully replace propane-heavy volumes, enabling cost savings for India while ADNOC redirects its own LPG to China’s premium market.
