“The overall improvement in arbitrage export margins from key diesel suppliers to Singapore since August, which is largely a result of weakness in the freight markets, will likely cause an influx of diesel into Singapore in the medium term”, says Sparta analyst James Noel-Beswick.

Reuters, September 19, 2024 – James Noel-Beswick from Sparta commented on Singapore’s middle distillates, noting that the expected influx of diesel into Singapore in the medium term is due to improved arbitrage export margins from key suppliers, influenced by weaker freight markets.
