Singapore middle distillates stocks soar to 3-month high as net exports dip

“Calculations taking into consideration Cape routing notably suggest that WCI (and AG) arb routes now target Northwest Europe rather than Singapore,” Sparta’ analyst James Noel-Beswick, said.

Reuters, February 15, 2024 – James Noel-Beswick from Sparta Commodities indicated that the arbitrage window for diesel/gasoil from West Coast India (WCI) and the Arabian Gulf (AG) now targets Northwest Europe rather than Singapore, although high imports into Singapore are expected to continue due to declining regional freight rates.
