Gasoline margins end week lower as stocks rise

“Stocks on the Atlantic coast fell by 1.1%, breaking a three-week run of stock builds. Rising stocks on the Atlantic coast could be impacting European exports, according to Jorge Molinero from Sparta.

Reuters, August 23, 2024 – Jorge Molinero of Sparta commented on the gasoline market, noting that the decline in gas-naphtha is negatively impacting blending margins. He also pointed out that current east coast inventories in the U.S. do not suggest significant export volumes to New York Harbor in the near future, potentially affecting European gasoline exports.
