Dangote’s lackluster oil buying casts doubt over gasoline supply

“European gasoline has been extremely strong as a result of Dangote’s issues,” Sparta Commodities analyst Neil Crosby said. “At the moment Dangote’s track record is poor, and if that keeps going it will be supportive for European gasoline, and to a degree distillate, going forward.”

Bloomberg, October 16, 2025 – Operational setbacks at Nigeria’s Dangote refinery have sharply reduced crude runs and may persist into 2026, tightening West African gasoline supply and supporting European gasoline prices.
